The Wall of Grass captures the energy of different genres; call it a “folk-chestra”, “folk flash mob”, or “cluster-folk.” The performers form a circle singing, playing numerous instruments, cascading into a symphony of music for the soul. The core of musicians represents a Who’s Who of the music scene coming together to benefit the Tamworth Community Nurse Association, who’s been serving the residents of Tamworth for 98 years.

Music begins at 6:30 PM. BYOB. Meet & Eat Thai Food, and Cheese Louise Food Trucks in a Dine & Donate program starting at 5:30 PM.

Wall of Grass

The Foundation Room at the House of Blues Boston, 15 Lansdowne Street, Boston

Rockin' the Cure for Huntington's Disease: A Benefit for the Huntington's Disease Youth Organization, Boston.

Wall of Grass is an interactive folk collaborative that performs in the spirit of contributing to the greater good and raises much needed funds by targeting community service organizations in need. All shows are produced by Wall of Grass founder and percussionist Joe Donnelly. The band’s genre has been categorized as “cluster-folk.”

For Wall of Grass, the band is the crowd and the crowd is the band. The core musicians and singers set up in a circle in the middle of the room, seated around one microphone. Surrounding audience members are encouraged to sing along, clap and participate in the performance. Songbooks are provided for the audience upon admission.
